I purchased the smaller rose gold version.1. Safe versus fireproof and waterproof box: This is a safe. It is made to install into a floor or a wall such that a thief can’t just pick it up and walk off with it. However, it does come with a good-sized pouch that is waterproof and fireproof. It’s the best of both world because you can lock up AND protect your valuable documents. (If you are looking just for a waterproof fireproof box, don’t waste your money trying to get a good locking mechanism on it. You don’t want this safe.)2. Installing: There are four holes in the back and two holes on the bottom. It comes with 4 dry wall brackets, 4 washers, and 2 pointed bolts. I needed to dig into my own supply of hardware to get it fastened down. It is sturdy, secure, and looks good!3. The lock: This safe has a two-step verification lock. You need the main key AND either a user code, a fingerprint, or the emergency key to enter. The lock consists of three large metal pegs. I did a lot of research before purchasing this. Other, cheaper safes had reviews indicating that the safe could be pried open or the lock could be bypassed by shoving a pen in the keyhole. That is not the case with this safe. The locking mechanism seems to be sturdy and secure.4. Set up and configuring: My only complaint about this safe is that it comes with only a single page of instructions for set up that are unclear and missing a lot of information. So… when you get the safe, use the big lock key and the round emergency at the same time to open the safe (the emergency panel slides down to open the keyhole). Remove the panel on the back of the door and install the batteries (mine used 4 AA). Press the green (or red) button to start the set-up process. Once you get used to the Chinese accent, it’s entertaining listening to her talk. When in set up mode, follow the instructions on the page to set your master code, user code, and fingerprint. It’s very easy from that point on.5. Other features: The door is inset into the cabinet, which makes it harder for a thief to pry open. It comes with an external battery backup that you can use if your battery goes dead (not that you would need that because of the emergency key). When you open the door, there is a LED light that shines into the safe.6. Final comments: We configured the codes and fingerprint right out of the box, and then installed it into my closet. Since then, I have yet to have the fingerprint sensor work. Also, the user code always fails on the first try. I’m going to try resetting the fingerprint. Until then, the jury is still out on how well that fingerprint sensor works. Overall though, I am really happy with this safe and think it is worth the price for the good looks and security.The safe itself is kind of light but still required 2 people to carry when it is completely empty. However, once I filled it, this safe is heavy now. However, before attempting to move it after I filled it, I did install this into my house. The safe itself is very heavy duty and once it's installed, this thing does not move. Setting the pin code was really simple as the instructions it came with explained how to do everything. Unlike old safes I've owned, this one really helps when it comes to opening and seeing what's inside. Normally I used to either have to turn a light on or keep a flashlight inside to help me see things because I have this installed in a dark corner. With this safe, there is a small light that only turns on when it's opened. The light may be small but it really does light up the whole safe so I'm able to see inside.The smaller lock box that is inside of this safe is small but it really does hold a lot of smaller items that I wanted to keep inside. Even with all of the items that I have inside, there is still some room leftover. To open this safe, it does require the pin and key but if for some reason I forget my pin, I'm able to use both keys to open the door. I found this to not only be helpful but a lot safer so no one younger in the house can open it or if someone were to attempt to open it in general. Really has kept items safe and is heavy duty. Even with boards and drywall falling on this safe, everything inside was safe, while the outside really had no damage but a little dust on it.This safe is so much more than I could have expected. It's well constructed, a great size and weight and can be used to keep your important documents or valuables.Love that you have different ways to be able to use it. You can use the master keys or set your own code. Whatever you decide it makes it easy for the people who are supposed to have access to get in, keeping those out who shouldn't have access.Great price, too. If you are looking for something for your home or office this is a great investment for you.I decided to upgrade my main safe to have a thumb scanner and keeping the quality metal too. I found this one, really good specs and a good price and decided to give this one a try. I was not disappointed; this one is really nice. First off, it works great. Very solid, has that thicker metal and a bit on the heavier side too. Not too heavy, but heavy enough that it would be hard to cut or drill into it. Secondly, very easy to set up. The instruction was very easy to understand and every detail to the instructions worked perfectly on setting it up. Lastly, I really like the adjustable shelves. Very solid, the connectors are pretty solid and even comes with two extra ones too. I really like how it has the emergency battery pack and the master key as well. I feel good about getting into this one if anything goes wrong (i.e., dead battery or lose the master key). Comes with the bolts to mount it too. No cons, really works great for me, where I am very happy with the purchase.I hold all my valuables in this safe box because Its securely protected. No matter if there is a fire or a flood this durable safe box is built to with hold it all. The digital keypad was really easy to learn as well as how to set it up. You can open it via keypad or if that were dead you can open it up with the key. It comes with a set of keys just incase. Once it’s open you can remove the shelf, if you choose, for flexible storage space. There’s even hooks on the inside of the door and a light so you can see what you are doing.Love this safe. It is very stylish and very secure. It was easy to use the first time, I inserted the two keys on the lock pad and opened the door. After I got the door open I put batteries in the digital keypad and reset the code. The inside is beautiful with the gold accents. It has a very nice fireproof bag inside the safe and an inner locking door. The safe is very heavy and sturdy. Very well made for the price. Highly recommend.Good
