A stylish trench with a hood and a nearly absurd amount of pockets. It fits perfect and I've already gotten a ton of compliments on it. I didn't want to spend $350 on a coat but I'm ultimately glad that I did as this will last me at least 5 years when I will replace it with another Helly Hanson.Snug and keeps you warm in rain and snowWe bought these for the rain in Alaska. It rained every day we were there and these jackets kept us warm and dry!I'll start with sizing. Normally I take a large so thats what I tried first. Was fine if my arms were down, but if I put my arms out straight forward like I was reaching for something, the cuffs of the sleeves would be at the middle of my forearms. The extra large version was what I needed. So more generally speaking, this is a very utilitarian jacket. Lots of pockets, very waterproof, suprisingly warm, and even kinda heavy for what it is (which is good!). It is a little awkward to get the zipper started, but I think any long coat is like this, and the added warmth is worth it.I would recommend this to anyone. FYI, I live in central lower peninsula of Michigan and its good enough with just a t-shirt under it most days. Just go with a size larger than you normally do.it's a great looking trench...not sure how it's gonna hold up to cold yet.it's a snug fit... I wore a hoodie under it.Im 5,11 210lbs I ordered an XL and it fits perfect, I probably could've went a size up for a more lose feel but if I would went down a size it would've been too smallMy trusted 6 year old Patagonia 3-in-1 has finally reached the end of its life and would buy another except no longer easy to find in UK. So after much searching found this HH 3-in-1 jacket; a well known quality brand in sailing and work clothing.Haven’t yet used in cold as winter mild so far but lots of things to like so far. It is comfortable, warm, waterproof, plenty of pockets and hood fits comfortably and stays in place which I find to be rare in coats when windy. Some reviews mention the zip that did worry me but absolutely no problems so far on that front. So, so far so good and looking forward to it proving itself when a cold snap arrived.I so wanted to love this long waterproof Helly Hanson coat for dog walking in rain etc . Alas it’s design and cut is pretty poor , at £250 it represents poor value for money as the look , branding all over and practicality all score poorly as does the quality of the materials used . I have no doubt it will keep you dry in the rain but then again so will many raincoats for 1/4. Of the price . As a premium product raincoat it is pretty poor in its feel of quality and very basic cut - look - and design . Helly Henson need to go back to the drawing board and redesign this to be a little more fashionable street wear as in its current design it is better suited to wearing while fishing of the end ofPier somewhere not worn by anyone who wants a functional but stylish rain coat .This is my second HH Rigging coat the previous one lasted about 5 winters I replaced it because the cuffs started fraying & the seams began to separate exposing the lining which disintegrated,it's a bit pricey but still good value,I've worn it in temps of minus 20 & it still keeps you warm,a bonus is that it covers the upper legs, not many coats do that,The biggest minus is the zip which although is heavy duty,is difficult to engage.EXCELLENT PRODUCT COMFORTABLE VERY GOOD LENGHT AS I'M QUITE TALL AND VERY WARM CAN'T WAIT FOR THE COLD WEATHER!Love this coat. Waterproof system is amazing. Its not too bulky but still very warm. Just great for walking and looks amazing.
