A little heavy for me. Looks like it will stand up to hard use. Ask me in a year if it is in good shape.I ordered both the weekender bag and the backpack for an upcoming trip to Central America. The quality of this bag is amazing and the cool factor is unmatched. The only thing I found a bit odd is that the duffel bag is waxed canvas and the backpack is regular canvas so it’s not a perfect match, but it’s close.I won’t repeat others’ reviews, all of which I read before buying. The one thing I’ll add is that the way the bags hang is great. Some bags look fine in a photo but awkward when you actually carry them. I tried to capture in the photos the way they look - though granted, I don’t have much stuff in them yet.In some of the other reviews I found it difficult to discern the color. The color is a true army green, like you imagine when you think of a uniform. It’s not verging on gray or taupe as it looks in some of the photos.The only concern I have is whether the peg holes on the backpack that serve to fasten the top flap are going to stand the test of time. Also, the Velcro flap on the outside pocket of the backpack is a bit 80s—but now I’m just being nit-picky. It has a lot of great compartments and does hold a small Swell bottle.(Jan 15,2019)First off, I purchased this bag mainly for weekends or several nights over at my partner's house. This bag is extremely roomy and definitely provides space for a couple days clothes, as well as a bag of toiletries, with room to spare. The brown of the leather does not match the product photo in that it is darker- and I'm not complaining, it looks much better. The leather is also softer than I expected and doesn't have an offending smell, it smells nice actually and it eventually does fade away, so no worries there.I have no complaints on it so far, other than that there is a lack in roomy pockets but it's a minor detail unless you like to use pockets to stay organized/stuff knick knacks into but that's what a purse/personal bag is for.I also hardly use the longer sling the bag comes with, using the shorter handles instead since it feels too bulky to sling on the shoulder but that might just be me.If I get any issues I'll add them in, but for now if you're eyeing this bag, get it! It's well worth it's price.Oh, bonus detail: it might just be me who gets excited over getting free stuff, but this bag also comes with an off white drawstring bag that the duffel bag comes in!! I like using it to store dirty laundry when I'm out of the house which is a nice addition.I LOVE THIS DUFFEL BAG! I received multiple compliments on it while traveling. Study, durable canvas, fits easily into the airlines overhead compartments. This bag is PERFECT for quick overnight stays, camping or hotels!2 exceptions though: 1. I wouldn't recommend loading it down heavy which is easy to do because of its size. Unless you are doing an overnighter somewhere you aren't hauling it on your shoulder for miles in an airport. This got to be painful after a while with multiple lay-overs and walking across the entire airport to get to my next plane. (I should have taken my roller-bag but wanted to give this bag a chance) 2. Due to the weight the shoulder strap spring came unhinged. I will need to repair it, which shouldn't be that hard and does NOT detour me from rating this bag 5 stars! I would buy this again, but I have a feeling this one will last me a VERY long time!Everything about this bag is great but the shoulder pad on the strap. When looking at it, it appears that you would be able to unsnap the pad and move it to wherever you wanted but it does not come off and you can only slide it along the strap. This becomes an issue when you want to shorten the strap since the pad can only go as far as the metal piece that controls the strap length. I had to wedge the metal piece through the strap to get it where I wanted. If you're taller (I unfortunately am not) this probably wouldn't be as much of an issue. As I mentioned at the beginning of the review I have no other complaints...the bag has a rugged look and has plenty of space with a few side pockets. I'd definitely recommend it.This is definitely one of the nicest things I have bought off Amazon.I go to the artesian well near my home, and all my dog's and my drinking water comes from it, my method of transit is a bicycle, I try to carry at least 8 gallons with me every time, and I have been using a regular sized 21" duffelbag to hold 5 single gallon bottles of Crystal Geyser water.This duffel bag easily holds 6 one gallon crystal Geyser bottles, which is great, because that means I can bring my total carried gallons 9, more than we need in a week.I will be using this duffel bag once every 10-12 days to carry 9 full gallons of water, so I will provide an update after a while, reflecting the durability, but just by initial appraisal, this is again, one of the highest quality things I have purchased on Amazon.I am very impressed with the size, quality, and pockets of this duffel bag. It has 3 inner pockets and two outside pocket which is great for putting all those little small travel items. So far I took it on 3 flights and had no issues using it as a carry on and fit perfectly in the overhead compartment. The zippers feel sturdy and seem to be hold up rather well once everything is packed up. It can hold a good amount of clothing and items so its great for weekend trips. There are only two things I came across which forced me to only give it 4 stars. One being the brown leather that is wrapped on each corner rubbed off onto my jeans and it was very difficult to clean. The last thing is the shoulder pad that is on the strap I've been unable to adjust it to sit right on my shoulder.Great price. Holdall is all I was looking for. Great buy.
